Diploma in Punjabi - Outcomes

 

Programme Specific Outcome (PSO)

PSO1
This course is meant for foreigners and those Indians who wish to acquire reading and learning proficiency in Punjabi language.
PSO2
2. Every candidate seeking admission to the one-year part-time Diploma Course in Punjabi under annual mode must have passed the Senior School Certificate Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or possess such further qualifications as may be prescribed from time to time.
Admission to the Diploma Course will be open to those who have passed the Certificate Course in Punjabi of the Delhi University or an Examination recognized as equivalent thereto.
PSO3
The examinations for the Diploma Course in Punjabi shall be both written and oral according to the scheme mentioned in the syllabus.

Course Outcomes (CO)

CO - Paper I "Functional Punjabi, Translation and Composition"
Through this paper of the syllabus, students exposed to functional Punjabi, translation techniques and art of composition.
CO - Paper II "Text Books and A Short History of Traditional Punjabi Literature"
This paper intends to adjudge student's knowledge of a brief History of Punjabi Literature and their capability to evaluate poems critically. For this purpose, they have to go through the prescribed text-books in this regard.
CO - Paper III "Oral Examination"
Through oral examination student's capability of reading, writing and speaking of Punjabi language is being adjudged.
